About Dr. Revolt
Born and raised in New York City, Dr. Revolt is an original member of the historic NYC subway graffiti crew, The Rolling Thunder Writers (RTW). Revolt made his mark with his tags and elaborate pieces on the Broadway #1 subway line first, and then took them “all city.” He is also credited with single-handedly kick-starting the graffiti scene in Baltimore.
Revolt’s psychedelic and heavily comic, art-influenced work has been featured in various art galleries and publications globally. He created the YO! MTV Raps logo and has contributed to various music videos, album covers, comics and vinyl toys. The doctor was also featured in the seminal, classic hip-hop films “Wild Style” and “Style Wars,” appearances that have further secured his place in the history of "graff-dom."
