About Kime Buzzelli
Raised in Ohio, Kime Buzzelli is a Los Angeles-based artist who’s renowned for her paintings, illustrations and fashion-based installations. Buzzelli attended Parson's School of Design in NYC and Ohio State University, where she received respectively a BFA in painting and a degree in art education.
Described as “dark love poems,” Kime’s paintings have been exhibited in galleries throughout the world, including showings in Los Angeles, Miami Beach, New York and Tokyo. And her drawings and designs have been featured in numerous publications, including Elle and Lulu.
Kime is also renowned for her lush fashion illustrations. These have been seen in nearly a dozen publications, including Bust, Cosmopolitan, Lula, Nylon, Swindle, W, XLR8R and the books Fashion Illustration Next and Vintage LA.
Buzzelli’s art installations are inspired by her love of clothes and printed fabric and often incorporate discarded clothing. Her installations have been exhibited at Screaming Mimi's, Albertine and ISA in NYC, as well as The Nike House in Venice, CA.
In 2000, Buzzelli founded the boutique and clothing line Show Pony in Los Angeles. Her fashions have been worn by numerous film and music celebrities, including Lindsey Lohan, Jane’s Addiction and Kate Bosworth.
